1. The performance of a player at the State Championship and a minimum of “FOUR” best performances in any of the remaining State Ranking Tournaments will be considered for selection in the State Team.
2. If by any chance, the requisite number of tournaments are not completed, the nearest of the above will be followed.
3. State Ranking to be considered will be the latest announced by TTAB.
4. National Ranking to be considered will be the latest announced by TTFI.
5. Players with the National Ranking of 12 or below in the Senior and 8 or below in the Youth (U-15,17,19) category will be eligible for selection along with the other players based on their state ranking in the State team.
6. Points allotted for both National performances & State performances will only be one of the important criteria for selection but not the sole criteria.
7. Players with India Rankings beyond 40 in Senior and beyond 25 in U19/ U17/ U15 categories will not be awarded any points for National Performance criteria. Absolute National Ranking will be considered for awarding points.
8. ‘Ranking’ and ‘Age’ will also be one of the criteria for selection of players for the State Team for any competition on behalf of TTAB.
9. Performance in all other official events of TTAB can be considered for selection.
10. Fitness and dope tests, if and when conducted during camps, will be mandatory.
11. Indiscipline of a particular player shall also will be taken into non- consideration of a player in the State Team.
12. Chief Coach appointed by TTAB will be a special invitee in all Selection Committee meetings.
13. The circumstances under which the selectors exercise their discretionary powers will be documented.
14. Decision of the Selection committee will be final & binding on all.
